The Eighth Commandment
You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
What does this mean?
We should fear and love God so that we do not tell lies about our neighbor, betray him, slander him, or hurt his reputation, but defend him, speak well of him, and explain everything in the kindest possible way.

1. The beginning of >Romans 6 is all about Baptism and the Cross and the hope we have. St. Paul asks this question “How can we who died to sin still live in it”?
a. Where did we die to sin? (think water and the triune name of God)
b. God has forgiven us in our Baptism by connecting us to the Cross. What does it mean when we continue in sin, even enjoy our sin even though we know it’s wrong?
