Travis Lasseter: Executive Director BH Pregnancy Center
I am a husband of 20 years to my wife Elizabeth. We have 4 children, all of which are teenagers. I retired from the Air Force after 21 years of service and have over 27 years experience in the medical field. The last 4 years I have been the Executive Director of the Black Hills Pregnancy Center. The center shut down in 2017, and I was hired to re-open and re-brand the center. Since then, we have seen our influence spread into the community via word of mouth and via our network of connections with other entities such as the Health Department, Mommy’s closet, Native Women’s Clinic, local school counselors and nurses, and many others.
Our center is here to meet women where they are at. Our goal is to be the first place a woman thinks of when she has an unplanned or planned pregnancy. All our services are free. We offer Pregnancy tests, limited ultrasounds, abstinence education, parenting classes through our Earn While You Learn program, car seats through the Buckle up for Life program – installed by a certified car seat installer, Prenatal vitamins, referrals into the community for their needs such as OB care, housing, or food needs, as well as any other concerns they may have.
**Please join us Sunday, May 29th between services to hear Travis Lasseter speak about what and how the Black Hills Pregnancy center works.
